Pratapgarh (Rajasthan): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Rajasthan has registered a corruption case against an excise officer posted at the Dhariyawad Excise Station in Pratapgarh district following allegations of bribery and unlawful conduct by the official.
Complaint and Allegations
According to official sources, the action was taken after a complaint was filed alleging that the excise officer — identified as Ishwar Singh — was involved in demanding and soliciting illegal gratification in the performance of his official duties. The complainant accused the officer of seeking bribe either to favour certain individuals or to manipulate excise-related processes for undue advantage.
ACB Verification and Case Registration
Upon receiving the written complaint, the ACB initiated a discreet verification process to examine the allegations. After reviewing the evidence and preliminary findings, the bureau concluded that there was sufficient basis to register a formal case under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
FIR Filed and Legal Action
Following the verification, ACB officials filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the excise officer, naming him in connection with the corruption allegations. The case has been lodged at the appropriate ACB police station, and a detailed investigation has been launched to probe the matter further.

The ACB team has commenced an in-depth investigation into the case. Authorities are gathering additional evidence, including scrutinising financial transactions and communications linked to the accused. The bureau is also analysing whether other individuals were involved in the alleged corruption scheme.
