Rajasthan to Provide Interest-Free Loans to 30,000 Youth Under CM Youth Self-Employment Scheme in FY 2026-27

Jaipur, April 20, 2026 – The Rajasthan state government has set an ambitious target to provide interest-free loans to 30,000 youths under the Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme during the financial year 2026-27. With preparations already in full swing, the Industries and Commerce Department is gearing up to fast-track the process by forwarding double the number of applications to banks by June.According to a senior official of the department, the plan is to send 60,000 applications to banks by the end of June — twice the annual target — to ensure accelerated disbursal of loans. The applications will be forwarded in phases: 30,000 in April, followed by 15,000 each in May and June. Districts have been directed to submit double the number of applications relative to their assigned targets within the stipulated timelines.The scheme offers attractive financial assistance to help young entrepreneurs start their own ventures. Eligible applicants who have passed Classes 8 to 12 can avail interest-free loans of up to ₹3.5 lakh for service and trade sectors and up to ₹7.5 lakh for manufacturing units. They are also entitled to margin money support of up to ₹35,000.For graduates, ITI-certified candidates, and those with higher educational qualifications, the loan limits are higher — up to ₹5 lakh for service and trade sectors and up to ₹10 lakh for manufacturing, along with margin money assistance of up to ₹50,000.Industries and Commerce Commissioner Neelabh Saxena revealed that more than 73,000 applications have already been received under the scheme, reflecting a cumulative loan demand of approximately ₹3,580 crore. So far, district industries centres have forwarded over 31,000 applications to banks for processing.The Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme was launched by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on January 12, 2026, with the online application process commencing on January 22, 2026. Saxena emphasised that the government aims to create a robust self-employment ecosystem by extending financial support to a large number of youths across the state.“Continuous monitoring at the headquarters level is being undertaken to ensure effective implementation,” Saxena added.Department officials stated that eligible youths can apply online through their Single Sign-On (SSO) ID or at e-Mitra centres. The mandatory documents required include Aadhaar card, domicile certificate, photograph, and proof of educational and technical qualifications. In the case of institutional applications, documents proving at least 51% ownership by the applicant are mandatory.Eligibility at a Glance:
