Jaipur: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Rajasthan has dismantled a large drug network and seized narcotics worth approximately ₹563 crore within just 175 days of its formation.
Launched on October 7, 2025, the ANTF has carried out 258 major operations across the state, targeting drug mafias and interstate trafficking networks. The value of ₹563 crore includes only the seized drugs and does not account for confiscated vehicles, weapons, or illegal manufacturing units.
45 Drug Traffickers Arrested
Under the leadership of Inspector General Vikas Kumar, the task force has arrested 45 major drug smugglers, including several long-wanted criminals carrying cash rewards ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹1 lakh.
Out of these:
- 32 were arrested from different districts in Rajasthan
- 13 were apprehended from other states including Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and West Bengal
Major Drug Operations and Busts
The ANTF has achieved significant breakthroughs in curbing drug production and supply:
- 30 MD drug manufacturing units busted (6 directly seized by ANTF)
- 5 major illegal cannabis and opium cultivation networks uncovered
- 5 large opium consignments intercepted
These actions have severely disrupted organized drug syndicates operating in and beyond Rajasthan.
Strong Infrastructure Built
Alongside enforcement, the ANTF has strengthened its operational capabilities by setting up:
- 18 checkpoints
- A dedicated police station
- A modern headquarters with trained personnel
Drug Mafia Under Pressure
Officials say the continuous and aggressive action has created panic among drug traffickers. The dismantling of networks and consistent arrests have significantly weakened the drug mafia’s presence in the state.
