Jaipur: In a significant administrative overhaul, the Rajasthan government on Wednesday issued transfer and posting orders for 187 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers, triggering a large-scale reshuffle across key administrative positions in the state.
The orders, released by the Department of Personnel on May 13, 2026, include transfers and fresh appointments at the levels of Additional Divisional Commissioners, Additional District Collectors (ADM), Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDM), and other important administrative posts. Several officers promoted recently from the Tehsildar service to RAS cadre have also received their first postings.
The reshuffle is being viewed as one of the biggest bureaucratic exercises undertaken by the state government this year.
Major Changes at Senior Administrative Levels
Among the prominent appointments and transfers:
- Jaswant Singh has been shifted from the post of Additional Divisional Commissioner, Bikaner, and appointed as Additional Commissioner and Joint Secretary (Third) in the Panchayati Raj Department, Jaipur.
- Arvind Saraswat has been appointed as the new Additional Divisional Commissioner of Bikaner.
- Jyoti Chauhan, previously serving as Executive Director (Traffic) in Rajasthan Roadways, has been transferred as Joint Secretary in the Medical Education Department.
- Vinita Singh has been moved from the position of Additional District Collector (Jaipur-I) and appointed Managing Director of the Rajasthan State Seed Corporation.
- Rajeev Dwivedi has been appointed as the new Additional District Collector of Jaipur-I.
Administrative Changes in Jaipur and Other Cities
The state government has also made notable changes in the administrative setup of major urban centers including Jaipur and Jodhpur.
- Rajendra Singh-II has been appointed as the new ADM (City), Jaipur North.
- Abhishek Goyal has been transferred from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and posted as Additional District Collector, Ajmer.
- Pushpa Kanwar Sisodia has been shifted from Jodhpur Municipal Corporation and appointed Officer on Special Duty (Land) at JDA Jodhpur.
The reshuffle is expected to impact urban administration, land management, and governance operations in several rapidly growing districts.
Large-Scale Changes at SDM Level
The transfer list also includes extensive changes at the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) level across Rajasthan.
Some key appointments include:
- Deepak Singh Khatana has been transferred from Jaipur City (North) to Bassi.
- Shrikant Vyas has been appointed as the new SDM of Jaipur City (North).
- Manisha Resham has been posted as SDM, Karauli.
- Bhagirath Singh has been appointed the new SDM of Nathdwara in Rajsamand district.
Officials say the reshuffle aims to improve administrative efficiency and strengthen governance at district and subdivision levels.
Promoted Officers Receive First RAS Postings
One of the major highlights of the transfer list is the appointment of several officers recently promoted from the Tehsildar service to the Rajasthan Administrative Service.
Among those receiving new responsibilities:
- Manisha Berwal has been appointed Additional CEO, Zila Parishad Ajmer.
- Krishna Singh has been posted as SDM, Tapukara.
- Shiksha Pawan has been appointed Land Acquisition Officer, Kota.
The move is being seen as an effort to provide field-level administrative exposure to newly promoted officers.
Previous Transfer Order Cancelled
The Department of Personnel has also cancelled the transfer order issued on October 25, 2025, concerning officer Anuradha Gogia.
All transferred officers have been directed to assume charge of their new postings with immediate effect.
The large-scale reshuffle is expected to influence administrative functioning across Rajasthan in the coming months, particularly in urban governance, revenue administration, and district-level coordination.
