Ajmer: Fresh questions have emerged over the integrity of recruitment examinations conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) after the Special Operations Group Rajasthan (SOG) arrested an RPSC clerk for allegedly helping a candidate use a dummy examinee in the School Lecturer Recruitment Examination-2022.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mansingh Meena, a junior clerk working at the commission. Investigators claim he played a key role in facilitating impersonation during the examination process.

Candidate Allegedly Used Dummy Examinee

According to the investigation, the case is linked to the School Lecturer Recruitment Examination-2022 in which candidate Rajesh Kumar Meena, bearing roll number 730447, allegedly sent another person to appear in the History and General Knowledge (GK) papers on his behalf.

SOG officials stated that Rajesh Kumar Meena allegedly conspired with RPSC clerk Mansingh Meena to manipulate the examination process and bypass identity verification procedures.

Fake Photograph and Forged Documents Used

Investigators revealed that the accused candidate allegedly replaced his original photograph on the admit card with the photograph of the dummy candidate who actually appeared in the examination.

The probe further uncovered alleged manipulation in signatures, birth date records, and other identification-related documents to ensure the impersonation went undetected.

Officials said the fraudulent strategy initially appeared successful, as the candidate secured the 569th rank in the main selection list of the recruitment examination.

Dummy Candidate Appeared at Jaipur Centres

According to the SOG investigation, the dummy candidate reportedly appeared in examinations at two separate centres in Jaipur:

  • On October 17, 2022, at Learning Step School for the General Knowledge paper.
  • On October 18, 2022, at Government Senior Secondary School Benad Road for the History paper.

Officials suspect the operation was carefully planned to avoid detection during the examination process.

Verification Process Exposed the Fraud

The fraud reportedly came to light during the document verification stage conducted by the commission.

According to officials, Ramnivas Mehta became suspicious after discrepancies were noticed in the submitted documents. A detailed verification process was then initiated, which allegedly exposed the impersonation and document manipulation.

Following the findings, the RPSC Secretary personally lodged a named FIR at the SOG Police Station in Jaipur on February 25, 2025, and handed over supporting evidence to the investigation agency.

Accused Clerk’s Background Under Scrutiny

Investigators said Mansingh Meena is a resident of Nadoti tehsil in Rajasthan’s Karauli district and joined the RPSC as a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) on November 10, 2020.

Preliminary investigation suggests that he was acquainted with the main accused candidate and allegedly guided him on how to manipulate the recruitment system and examination procedures.

Search On for Dummy Candidate and Other Suspects

The SOG is now searching for the dummy candidate who actually appeared in the examination, along with other individuals who may have assisted in the fraud network.

Officials believe more arrests are possible as the investigation progresses.

The case has once again intensified concerns over recruitment examination frauds in Rajasthan, where several paper leak and impersonation cases have surfaced in recent years.

However, many genuine aspirants have welcomed the action, stating that strict enforcement and accountability are necessary to restore confidence in the recruitment system.
