Average Coaching Scores, Weak Board Results, Yet Multiple Government Medical Seats — Coincidence or Systemic Failure?
Jaipur: The credibility and transparency of the NEET-UG examination system have once again come under intense scrutiny after startling academic records linked to Jaipur’s Bival family surfaced amid the ongoing paper leak controversy.
The family, based in Jamwaramgarh near Jaipur, is now at the center of a growing debate after multiple members reportedly secured admission into government medical colleges despite allegedly modest academic backgrounds and average performances in coaching institute assessments.
The revelations have triggered sharp questions about whether the dramatic score jumps seen in NEET-2025 were the result of exceptional improvement, systemic loopholes, or something far more serious.
The matter gains additional significance because members of the Bival family are already under investigation in connection with the broader NEET paper leak case being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Rishi’s Marks Spark Major Questions
The biggest controversy surrounds Rishi, whose alleged academic record has become a focal point in the debate.
According to documents and records being circulated in investigative circles, Rishi reportedly passed Class 12 with a second division and allegedly relied on grace marks to clear core science subjects.
His reported theory marks out of 56 are said to be:
- Physics: 09
- Chemistry: 15
- Biology: 20
These numbers have raised a critical public question:
How could a student allegedly struggling to secure minimum passing marks in core science subjects qualify for one of India’s most competitive medical entrance examinations and obtain a government medical seat?
Education experts note that NEET requires an exceptionally strong grasp of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, making such a drastic academic turnaround highly unusual without extraordinary preparation.
Multiple Family Members Show Sudden Performance Surge
Further analysis of records linked to other members of the Bival family — including Vikas, Pragati, Gunjan, Saniya, and Palak — has intensified the controversy.
Investigators and education observers point to a pattern where internal coaching test scores and previous NEET attempts allegedly reflected average or below-average performance, yet the candidates later secured remarkably high percentiles in NEET-2025.
Vikas: From 55% in Class 12 to Government Medical Seat
Vikas reportedly scored only 55% in Class 12 examinations and secured 270 out of 720 marks in NEET-2024.
Sources claim that across 46 coaching tests conducted in Sikar, his average performance remained weak and well below the expected range for a government medical college selection.
Despite this, he allegedly secured an 85.11 percentile in NEET-2025 and obtained admission to a government medical college in Sawai Madhopur.
Pragati: Massive Jump Within One Year
Pragati reportedly scored only 332 marks in NEET-2024, while her average coaching test score was around 302.
However, in NEET-2025, her percentile allegedly jumped to 89.08, helping her secure admission in a government medical college in Dausa.
Gunjan: Average Scores to Exceptional Result
Gunjan reportedly obtained 70% marks in Class 12 and scored 355 in NEET-2024.
Internal coaching test scores allegedly ranged between 320 and 342, but her NEET-2025 percentile reportedly surged to 92.53 — a dramatic jump that investigators and students alike are questioning.
Saniya: Weak Coaching Performance, Strong Final Result
Records linked to Saniya allegedly show that across 49 coaching tests, her average score remained between 341 and 361 — generally considered insufficient for securing a government MBBS seat.
Yet, she reportedly secured a 94.07 percentile in NEET-2025 and gained admission into a government medical institution.
Palak: Highest Jump Raises Eyebrows
Among the family members, Palak’s case is being viewed as the most striking.
She reportedly scored 512 marks in NEET-2024 and was considered academically stronger than the others. However, her NEET-2025 percentile allegedly jumped to 98.61, helping her secure admission to a prestigious government medical college in Jaipur.
While improvement over a year is not uncommon in competitive examinations, education analysts say simultaneous extraordinary jumps by multiple members of the same family naturally invite scrutiny.
Pattern of “Miraculous Improvement” Raises Concerns
A common thread visible across all the cases is that none of the students were reportedly considered extraordinary performers during their internal coaching assessments in Sikar.
Yet during the final NEET examination, all allegedly achieved dramatic score improvements sufficient to secure government medical seats.
This has led to serious questions:
- Were these results genuinely achieved through hard work and rapid improvement?
- Or did organized manipulation, leaked material, or systemic exploitation play a role?
Demand for High-Level Investigation
The controversy has fueled growing demands for an independent, high-level investigation into the admission process, examination records, and evaluation patterns linked to the family.
Students and parents across Rajasthan have expressed concern that if irregularities are proven, deserving candidates may have lost opportunities due to manipulation of a highly competitive national examination.
The issue has also intensified pressure on the National Testing Agency (NTA) and investigative agencies already facing nationwide criticism following the NEET paper leak scandal.
As the CBI investigation expands, attention is now turning toward coaching networks, alleged middlemen, and families whose sudden academic transformations are being viewed with suspicion.
At present, no court has convicted the accused family members, and the investigation remains ongoing.
